The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon

Written by Don Zolidis

EMST's Summer Drama Camp Student Performance

Two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using well known and obscure stories.

Suggested for ages 8 and up.

Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.

Espanola's MainStreet Theatre was founded by Wendy G. Hassemer and Rosalia Triana in 2012 as a non-profit, community-based theatre performance venue and theatre education center. Espanola's MainStreet Theatre offers classes and mounts theatrical productions geared toward the unique multicultural audience of Espanola. Children, youth, adults and seniors are engaged in projects that tell the unique stories of northern New Mexico while learning useful skills in communication and creative teamwork.

Espanola's MainStreet Theatre offers opportunities for growth and learning to all of its participants and audience members. We offer a variety of performance experiences: choral groups, poetry events, and live story telling, as well as all forms of theatre. In addition community members learn technical skills, including lighting, sound, and design, that transfer to many other fields. By tailoring plays and stories to both the traditional and contemporary cultural life of Espanola Valley and the social issues that are important to the community, we create performances and events that offer insights while entertaining our ever-growing audience.
